Jaylon Ignacio
Jaylon Ignacio is a newly admitted National Science Foundation Scholarship for Service recipient and of junior class standing at CSUSB. He is active in the Cyber Intelligence and Security Organization and is currently the Chief Information Officer. He is also a VMware Vsphere System Administrator working under the cybersecurity director. His main interests right now are in Secure Development and Penetration Testing.
Christian Magana
Christian Magana is a skilled VMware System Administrator with expertise in managing and maintaining critical infrastructure. He is a National Science Foundation Scholarship for Service recipient. Christian Magana is a versatile professional equipped to excel in VMware system administration and cybersecurity roles. As a cybersecurity professional, he possesses a deep understanding of threat detection and response, collaborating on projects to develop automated response capabilities using Python, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, Go, React, and C. He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and has successfully delivered effective lessons in various programming languages, such as Python, Flutter, and Java, enhancing students’ comprehension and programming skills.
Melani Martin Gonzalez
Melani Martin Gonzalez is a dedicated and ambitious scholar majoring in Information Systems and Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity. Despite being new to the industry, Melani’s passion for technology and her unwavering commitment to learning have quickly propelled her forward. She actively engages in hands-on projects with the Cyber Intelligence Security Organization and holds the position of Secretary within the club. Melani has been honored as a recipient of the National Science Foundation Scholarship for Service. Her drive, adaptability, and continuous growth mindset position her as a promising talent in the field, ready to make a significant impact in protecting digital systems and data.
Alberto Yerena
Alberto Yerena has been engaged in the field of Information Technology for five years. He is a recipient of the National Science Foundation Scholarship for Service. With an early emphasis on information technology systems and enterprise networking, he is now using previous knowledge to develop and hone DevOps practices with tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. He is an active member of the Cyber Intelligence & Security Organization (CISO) at CSUSB. With CISO, he made use of his network operations skills at the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition where they placed second in the Western Regional finals.
Friday Kriedeman
Friday Kriedeman is an upcoming sophomore who has a passion for hacking. They are active in the Cyber Intelligence & Security Organization and are currently working towards their Security+ certification. They have an interest in Binary Exploitation, Artificial Intelligence, and Penetration Testing. They currently know Python, Golang, HTML, CSS, and Javascript. They seek to understand the future of cybersecurity through Artificial Intelligence and generative analysis.
Angel Frederick
Angel Frederick graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelor’s in Information Systems and Technology, Cyber Security concentration in May 2023. She earned a certificate in Information Systems Management. She is a recipient of the Scholarship for Service and will be returning for a Master’s in National Cyber Security Studies. She is actively working towards certifications in Security+ and PenTest+.
John Huang
John Huang is an upcoming 2nd year at CSUSB. He enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and basketball. He is training for a marathon some time in the near future. He also enjoys playing video games.
